So are you saying Judaism is falling under the heading of Christianity? Is this
a true statement, the only difference between Christianity and Judaism is Jesus???

David I'm a little slow today, but why is the view formally rejected by Catholicism and
many protestant denominations "Jews must accept Jesus as Messiah"???
Or did I read it wrong???I can understand Judaism having a problem with that view,
but Catholicism and some Protestant don't understand.
recently, i was speaking with an older brother who is well into his 80's and is a widower.
he explained to me that it is tough getting old and that "nothing works right anymore".
he told me that he was able to get through his 70's with few problems.
You can see it in their eyes, hopelessness. The folks that came in around
the same time as me now in their 60's and 70's are thinking, I wasted my whole life
in this organization. When I ask them how is it going, well I'm still working. Paradise is
right around the corner, when are you coming back? Well I'm taking a chance because
I believe paradise is for off and I will be dead, so I will see you there.
Beth Sarim: "pardon my ignorance, I never knew that". Don't you wish more
people would research the Bible. I have learn so much here in a few years than
all the years as a elder.
Besides those that were born in, how many of us would have became a JW if we had went to a
a theological school?
outlaw; funny as always love your wit.
Moses of Crete, "the results were disastrous". I bet you it was, the sad part
many lost their lives form diving of the cliff into the sea, thankful there were fishermen
near by that saved some folks.
Thanks Mephis: Yes I found a few before Jesus, Judas Maccabeus (167-160 B.C E), Simon
of Peraea (4 B.C.E) and Athroges (4-2 B.C.E) and many after Jesus.
Finkelsten: yes I can see why the Jews thought he was a nut, another Lett of the GB....
Finkelstein: I though about that" many self described Messiahs", but how many
of those supposed messiahs were Hebrew or Israelite ? Just a few, Horus (not sure),
Krishna (India), Dionysus(Greece) and Mithra (Persia).
My point is how many among the Jews claimed to be the Messiah????
